Haven Nook School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our specialist SEN provision.

This is an exciting opportunity to support children and young people with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH and anxiety, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

As a HLTA, you will play a key role in delivering learning activities, leading targeted interventions, supporting pupil progress, and occasionally leading whole-class learning under the guidance of teaching staff. You'll work closely with teachers, therapists, pastoral staff and families to provide holistic support that enables every child to thrive.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has significant experience working with children and young people with SEND.
  • Can confidently support and lead learning activities.
  • Builds positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Is compassionate, resilient, adaptable and proactive.
  • Has strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Shares our commitment to inclusive, child-centred education.

Why Join Haven Nook?

  • Small class sizes and meaningful pupil relationships.
  • A supportive, collaborative and values-led team.
  • Excellent professional development opportunities, including Thrive training.
  • Career progression pathways into teacher training, SEND leadership, pastoral leadership and specialist intervention roles.
  • Yulife wellbeing and medical support app, life insurance, pension and healthcare cash plan.
  • The opportunity to make a lasting difference to young people's lives.

If you're passionate about helping children succeed and are looking for a rewarding role where every day matters, we'd love to hear from you.
