COVER SUPERVISOR

(Permanent position)

Working Pattern– 2 or 3 days per week in term time + Staff Development Days

2 days per week: Thursdays and Fridays (8.20am to 3.20pm)

or

3 days per week: Thursdays and Fridays (8.20am to 3.20pm), and one additional day that is mutually agreeable to the candidate and school (8.20am to 4.05pm). 

Salary - Kent Scheme Pay Grade C – £8,349 to £8,600 (2 days) or £13,009 to £13,399 (3 days) actual starting salary (dependent on experience)

(Equating to £26,956 to £27,765 full time equivalent, 52 weeks per year)

 

We are seeking to recruit an experienced, hardworking and proactive individual to join our welcoming Cover Team. The successful candidate will be a professional and reliable individual that is able to command the respect of students, ensures students fully engage with the learning activities they are set, and provides high quality support and guidance as is required to ensure that the cover provision afforded to our students is of the highest possible standard.

A professional and reliable individual is required to supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff. The successful candidate will be expected to give instruction for a lesson as provided by the teacher, ensuring students fully engage in the learning activity.

Experience of working in a school-based environment, or a similar setting, is desirable. The ability to work efficiently under pressure, to impose the school’s behaviour management policy and to operate flexibly within the changing needs of the school is essential.
