Join Maritime Academy Trust as a Community Engagement Manager!

Hours: 22.5 hours per week across 4 days
Contract: 2 Year Fixed Term Contract
Working Pattern: Term Time Only (38 weeks) with flexible working. One day per week at our Head Office in Northfleet, with the remainder working across our schools, in the community or from home when appropriate.

About the Role

Are you passionate about bringing people together and making a real difference in communities?

We're looking for an inspiring Community Engagement Manager to lead and support our team of five Community Ambassadors, helping schools build stronger relationships with families, local organisations and the wider community.

Reporting to the Head of Community Engagement, you'll coach and develop the team, strengthen partnerships, champion the impact of our work and help shape an innovative programme that enables children and families to feel connected, supported and able to thrive.

You'll lead by empowering others, turning ideas into action and creating opportunities that make a lasting difference across our Trust.

In this role, you will:

• Lead, coach and support our Community Ambassador team.
• Develop partnerships with schools, families and community organisations.
• Share inspiring stories through communications and social media.
• Coordinate training and professional development.
• Support community initiatives that strengthen belonging and inclusion.
• Work with colleagues to measure impact and continually improve our community programme.

• Is organised, proactive and an excellent communicator.
• Enjoys turning ideas into practical action.
• Is confident using social media and digital communications.
• Believes in the power of community and collaboration.

Recruitment Process

Our recruitment process has two stages:

Stage 1: Informal online conversation with our Head of Community Engagement.

Stage 2: Formal interview at our Head Office, including a practical task. Full details will be provided in advance.
