We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who takes pride in their work and understands the important role that a safe, clean and well maintained environment plays in supporting our pupils' learning and wellbeing.
 
You will work as part of our Site Team, you will assist in the day to day maintenance, cleaning, security and operation of our school buildings and extensive grounds.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the maintenance, and upkeep of school buildings and grounds
  • Assisting contractors working on site
  • Carrying out cleaning and porterage duties
  • Responding to minor repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Reporting Health and Safety concerns and helping maintain a safe environment
  • Assisting with site security, unlocking and locking procedures
  • Supporting the management of our grounds maintenance contract and undertaking minor grounds work
Situated on over 18 acres, Wyvern School benefits from extensive outdoor spaces, making this a varied role with a mix of indoor and outdoor responsibilities.
 
What We Offer
  • Permanent, all year-round contract
  • 30 hours per week - part time will be considered 
  • Monday to Friday, 12:00pm – 6:30pm (including a 30-minute unpaid break)
  • 29 days annual leave, plus bank holidays

The Wyvern School is a large, dynamic, forward-looking school, with the aim of helping to shape best practice for pupils with complex needs. The school caters for 370 pupils with severe, profound and complex needs including autism.
