Luton Primary School is looking to appoint an energetic, caring and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and inclusive team. As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils in Key Stage 1, helping to create a positive, engaging and stimulating learning environment. The role involves supporting teaching and learning activities, preparing classroom resources, and working with individuals and small groups of children to develop key skills in reading, writing and maths.
 
You will play an important role in supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development, encouraging positive behaviour and helping children to become confident, independent learners.

Desirable Experience:
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school setting, particularly within KS1;
  • Good subject knowledge in phonics, reading, writing and maths;
  • Experience of supporting early literacy and numeracy development;
  • Teaching Assistant Level 3 Qualification or equivalent;
  • Knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and phonics programmes.
