An exciting opportunity has become available at St Augustine’s Catholic Primary School to recruit a part-time SENCo to join our supportive and dedicated team from January 2027.

This position is for two days per week (FTE 0.4) and offered on the Teachers' Main Pay Scale to Upper Pay Scale, with an SEN1 allowance, dependent on experience.

We are seeking a candidate who shares our values and ethos, has passion for primary education, and is committed to delivering the highest standard of learning for every child in our community.

Information about the school

St Augustine's Catholic Primary School is an Academy and is part of the Kent Catholic Schools Partnership. Our one form entry school is situated near to the town centre of Tunbridge Wells.

Parents send their children to St Augustine's because they want their children to be part of a faith community. Many, but not all, are Catholic, however, all children and their families are very welcome. It is very much a family academy and provides a caring atmosphere where all children are loved.

The academy is proud of all members of the community, especially the children. They are happy, loving and lively; always ready to welcome and full of fun. Staff are committed, ensuring that the children receive the best care and education. Governors work hard to support the school community, sharing their skills and monitoring all aspects of school life.
