Salary: KSF- FTE £32,140
Hours: 37 hours per week, Term Time only plus 3 weeks (2 weeks summer, dates to be confirmed, 1 week to be split over Easter and October half term)
Start Date: 1st September 2026

Aylesford School is seeking to appoint an exceptional Exams Officer to lead the administration and delivery of all internal and external examinations. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised, proactive and highly professional individual to play a vital role in ensuring every student has the opportunity to achieve their very best.

Working as part of our dedicated support staff team, you will oversee the full examination cycle, ensuring that all examinations are conducted efficiently, securely and in full compliance with JCQ and awarding body regulations.

Whether you are an experienced Exams Officer looking for your next challenge or someone with outstanding administrative skills looking to develop within school examinations, we would be delighted to hear from you. Full training and support can be provided for the right candidate.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has exceptional organisational and administrative skills.
  • Possesses excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Can work calmly and effectively under pressure, particularly during examination periods.
  • Has strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, with experience of school MIS systems desirable.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is committed to maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Has previous experience within examinations administration or a school environment (desirable but not essential).
