Leigh Academy Tonbridge is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in helping our students thrive - both academically and personally - within our unique small-school College model.

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers and students to create an engaging, inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed. From providing in-class support and small-group interventions to encouraging positive attitudes and resilience, you’ll make a tangible difference every single day.

The basis of this role is permanent, working 32.5 hours per week, term time + 1 week inset. This role is offering an actual salary of £19,013 per annum (£25,166 full-time equivalent).

Our Ofsted report from December 2022 confirms that behaviour and attitudes are exceptional as the school has high expectations for pupils 'behaviour and conduct. Pupils, staff and parents report that behaviour is very well managed and bullying is not tolerated at this school. Any incidents are dealt with robustly and as a result, pupils feel happy and safe which point towards the students enjoying school and this is reflected in their high attendance.

Our students flourish, becoming curious, caring and culturally astute young people as they move on to higher education or employment. They leave with a broad skill set and the versatility to embrace the future challenges of the modern world.
