Grade / Salary KSC £26,956 FTE (£20,731.17 pro-rata)
Responsible to Assistant Headteacher
Start date 1 September 2026
Working hours Full-time 32.5 hours per week - part-time applicants welcome
Term time only + 5 staff development days (39 weeks in total)
8.30am - 4.00pm with an hours unpaid lunchbreak

● Successful recent experience of working with young people is desirable but not essential.
● Purpose of the post:-
o Supervise learning that takes place within the classroom and/or the library
o Deliver pre-planned lessons to assist learning during periods of absence.
o Ensure the good behaviour of the pupils and assist with their learning.
o Work with individuals or small groups who require additional support.
o Provide feedback to the teacher.
o Act as a role model and set high expectations of conduct.
o Support the use of ICT and other equipment and materials.
o A range of administrative and support tasks when not required to supervise classes.
● Appropriate training will be given.
