We are seeking to appoint an excellent, enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant to join our friendly, supportive and dynamic small school community from September 2026. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the class teacher to support the wellbeing, learning and development of our wonderfully diverse children within EYFS.

Salary:            KSA FTE £26,168 (Actual Salary £18,245)

Hours:             30hrs per week

Contract:         Permanent

The hours for this position are 8.30am – 3.30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only, with an hour lunch break.

Wickhambreaux CEP School is proud to be an outstanding school following our OFSTED inspection in April 2025, and we have also recently received an extremely positive SIAMS inspection. As a Church of England school, we are committed to nurturing every child within a caring Christian environment built upon our values of love, trust and community. The successful applicant must be willing to uphold and actively support the school’s Christian ethos and values.

Applicants should hold at least a relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Education (or equivalent) and have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within an EYFS setting.   • provide in-class support within the EYFS classroom;

If you are creative, have excellent communication skills, enjoy working as part of a team, possess a good sense of humour and feel that you can make a positive difference to the lives of children, we would love to hear from you.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to speak with and/or visit the school prior to application. To arrange a visit, please contact the school office on 01227 721300 after 8th June 2026. For further information, please contact the Headteacher, Mrs Crosbie, at headteacher@wickhambreaux.kent.sch.uk
