SENCo – Part-Time (MPS + SENCo Allowance) 

St Thomas More Catholic Primary School are wishing to appoint a qualified SENCo with QTS to join our school in September 2026 for 2-3 days per week.   

The successful candidate will be supported by a team of excellent teaching assistants all who have the passion to support children with additional needs and a supportive senior leadership team.   

We are looking to appoint: 

A SENCo to work across the primary phase in collaboration with senior leaders/ Inclusion Lead. 

A SENCo who is highly motivated, creative and well organised. 

A SENCo with good knowledge of SEND provision, legal frameworks and LA systems & processes. 

A SENCo who wishes to develop outstanding practice, has a love of learning and high expectations of children’s progress, achievement and behaviour. 

A SENCo who has excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. 

A SENCo who is committed to developing the professional understanding of the staff body. 

A SENDCo who values, embraces and celebrates the rich diversity of our schools. 

A SENDCo who will support the SLT team as a DDSL.

Information about the school

St Thomas More Catholic Primary School is part of the Kent Catholic School’s Partnership Trust. We are a two-form entry primary school with the capacity for 420 children aged between 4-11 years.

We are proud of all members of the school and community, especially the children. They are happy and loving and always ready to welcome visitors. Staff are committed, ensuring that the children receive the best care and education and are extremely supportive of each other. Governors work hard to support the school community, sharing their skills and monitoring all aspects of school life.

Our school is linked to our Parish Church, St Simon Stock, in Walderslade, Chatham under the guidance of our wonderful Parish Priest, Father Joseph.
