An exciting opportunity has arisen at Christ Church CEP Academy, Folkestone, for someone dynamic and talented to become the Deputy SENCo as part of our amazing and forward-thinking team. This is also an opportunity to drive positive change and be part of the excellent work already happening in regards to SEND.

 

A job description and person specification is included with this advert but in summary, we are looking for:

  • Someone with energy and enthusiasm and wants to make a difference for our children.
  • A committed member of the Senior Management Team, and a role model for staff
  • Someone who will uphold our Christian vision and values modelling high expectations.
  • A strategic person who can spot opportunities and make a positive change.
  • Must hold, or currently be working towards, NASENCO qualification.
  • Someone who is an excellent communicator, good with people (including staff and families).
  • Someone who understands data and can use this to inform future planning and monitoring.
  • Someone who is patient, caring and understanding but can also be flexible in their practice.
  • A team player – someone who will work effectively with all team members to deliver the very best for our children who really deserve the best.
  • Someone who is organised and dedicated
  • Someone with a good sense of humour!

Christ Church CEP Academy is a two form entry primary academy near the centre of Folkestone. We aim to create a stimulating and enjoyable learning environment where each individual can achieve their full potential. We want our pupils to be enthused and engaged in their learning at all times and our skills based curriculum provides a wide range of opportunities to develop children’s interests and capabilities.
