Orchards Academy in Swanley is seeking a visionary Teacher of Design & Technology to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4. 

Reporting directly to the Senior Leadership Team, you will deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons that foster a love for innovation while ensuring outstanding progress for all learners, including those with SEND. As part of the TKAT family, we champion the "Be Who You Are" philosophy, offering the support and flexibility you need to grow professionally while leading a vibrant extra-curricular programme and serving as a dedicated Form Tutor. The ideal candidate will hold QTS and a degree in Design & Technology or a related subject, backed by a proven track record of high student achievement at GCSE or BTEC. You must possess deep, up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum and the ability to utilize specialist DT equipment and technology effectively for both composition and performance. We are looking for a resilient, enthusiastic professional with exceptional classroom management skills and a genuine passion for DT education. Beyond technical expertise, your strong communication skills will be vital for engaging with students, parents, and staff as you maintain high academic expectations and a steadfast commitment to the safety and well-being of every pupil.
