An exciting job opportunity has arisen that will allow the right candidate to make a real difference to children’s learning in our small friendly Methodist school, where standards and expectations are high.

We are seeking a professional and passionate experienced teacher to work as a SENCo here at St. Peter’s.  You will understand how children learn and will help our teachers and TAs deliver the right support for our children’s needs.

The role is for FTE of 0.8 – the equivalent of 4 days per week - but we can be flexible with working patterns, to accommodate child care issues for example and with a combination of working from home. The role will start in September 2026.

St. Peter's Methodist Primary School is a Good (Ofsted 2024), one form entry voluntary controlled primary school located in the heart of Canterbury. The school enjoys a strong relationship with the Methodist Church and has been recognised as Outstanding in the June 2018 SIAMS inspection.
