About the Role

As a Secondary Teacher at Nexus School, you will:

  • Plan, deliver and review high-quality learning opportunities for a class group
  • Ensure all pupils make strong progress through personalised and engaging teaching
  • Lead and manage a team of support staff within your classroom
  • Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning to continually improve outcomes
  • Foster a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Play an active role in the wider school community

You will be a reflective practitioner who is committed to professional development and aligned with the school’s vision for excellence.


About You

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience delivering good or outstanding teaching
  • Has experience working with pupils with complex SEND needs
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills within a classroom team
  • Is skilled in using data to track and improve pupil progress
  • Is empathetic, resilient and highly organised
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils, families and professionals
