Due to an internal promotion to senior leadership, we are looking for a middle Leader to join the school to embed these values as the leader of our 6th Form Pathway.

In the role you will:

  • Lead the implementation, coordination, and evaluation of the 6th Form pathway.
  • Embed a meaningful curriculum that promotes independence, accredited achievement, and preparation for adulthood.
  • Monitor the quality of education, pupil progress, wellbeing and behaviour, ensuring all students are nurtured, challenged and celebrated.
  • Support, coach and mentor staff within the pathway, modelling professional conduct and fostering a joyful, respectful, collaborative culture.
  • Work closely with families, external agencies and our wider community to create strong, connected support around each young person.
  • Contribute to whole‑school development and uphold high expectations for both staff and students.

  • Confident in leading a team, supporting, motivating and developing others with compassion and professionalism.
  • Reflective, resilient, and eager to contribute to a thriving, values driven 6th Form community.

The Wyvern School is a large, dynamic, forward-looking school, with the aim of helping to shape best practice for pupils with complex needs. The school caters for 370 pupils with severe, profound and complex needs including autism.
