Early Years Teacher Required for September 2026

A wonderful opportunity to teach early years to a class of 30 children at St Martin's CEP School has presented itself following due to staff taking maternity leave. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative and highly motivated teacher to work in our outstanding early years setting and successful school with our friendly staff and amazing children. St Martin's CEP is federated with Seabrook CEP School and staff work collaboratively across both schools, which makes this a very exciting and supportive environment. 

The ideal candidate should:

be keen to learn and develop their teaching

have energy and the determination to make a difference

have good communication skills

be an excellent classroom practitioner

have high expectations

be a good role model

have commitment to raising standards and achievement

have an understanding of the EYFS Statutory Framework and early child development

understand that every child is unique and be able to reflect this in their practice

be a team player, willing to share ideas with their colleagues

be supportive of our inclusive Christian Ethos

have experience of teaching in the early years or KS1

have a creative approach to teaching and understand the importance of engaging children through their own interests.

St Martin's Church of England Primary School is situated in a coastal setting in Folkestone. St Martin's is an outstanding half form entry school and enjoys excellent links with the local church, St Martin's, and the surrounding community. . The school has 7 classes, each with an average size of 30 children. St Martin's CEP School works closely with it's sister school Seabrook CEP School which it is federated with and is less than a mile away. The schools share an Executive Headteacher and a leadership team that work across both sites. There are excellent working relationships across the federation which enable staff, children and families to work in partnership to support the education of the children.
