We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated teacher to join our Post‑16 SEND provision, delivering high‑quality education to learners with a broad range of additional needs.

 The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of the preparation for adulthood areas of learning and have a passion for enabling our students to develop skills and understanding for life after Sixth Form and provide opportunities for our students to apply their learning in real world contexts when access the local community. You will ensure that all learners receive a supportive, safe, and aspirational learning environment that enables them to make sustained and meaningful progress.

 Our Sixth Form offers a bespoke curriculum that enables students to focus on Preparation for Adulthood Skills through; Community and Relationships. Employment, Good Health and Independent Living, whilst also embedding functional maths and English skills and EHCP targets.

Our students’ learning journeys are tailored and personalised depending on their desired outcomes for their post-19 placements (Social Care, College or Employment).

 We offer a range of opportunities to ensure our students are prepared to be successful in their next steps, whether that be college, the world of work, apprenticeships, a volunteer role or a fully supported environment. 

 Experience of working in a special needs setting and teaching young people with ASD as well as learning difficulties is desirable, but not essential. If you work in a mainstream setting and are curious about Special Needs Schools, you are welcome to contact us to find out more.

We have approximately 270 members of staff including Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Office and Admin Staff, Site Staff, ICT Department, Wellbeing Team, Finance and Business Services as well as our Leadership and Management Team.
