Advert

Loose Primary School is a vibrant, welcoming and ambitious three-form entry primary school at the heart of its community. Guided by the belief that “Potential is Limitless”, we are committed to knowing every child as an individual and helping them flourish.

Our mission is clear:
We care greatly and ensure the highest quality of learning and character development so that our pupils achieve well and become responsible global citizens.

Serving children from nursery (age 3) to Year 6, the school provides a strong early foundation and a broad, knowledge-rich curriculum built on high expectations and positive relationships.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a large, established primary school with a strong identity and reputation — and to continue driving our mission forward.

The Role

As Headteacher, you will be the professional leader of Loose Primary School and custodian of its mission and values. You will set the culture, direction and standards that secure excellent learning and character development for every child.

Leading a three-form entry school requires strategic thinking, strong systems and effective delegation. You will provide visible leadership while building capacity across the organisation, securing improvement from nursery through to Year 6.

You will:

  • Lead the full age range, including the on-site nursery.
  • Embed our mission so achievement and character are equally valued.
  • Secure high standards through strong systems and leadership development.
  • Shape and sustain a high-quality, inclusive curriculum.
  • Foster a calm, purposeful culture.
  • Develop confident and accountable leaders at all levels.

Working with Coppice Primary Partnership

Loose Primary School is part of Coppice Primary Partnership (CPP), a small, values-led Trust.

CPP supports its schools through collaboration and central expertise. You will work closely with the CEO and Director of Inclusion and Education as part of the Executive Leadership Team, while retaining strong school identity.

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for a Headteacher who:

  • Has significant senior leadership experience in primary education.
  • Has a proven track record of raising standards.
  • Understands curriculum, assessment and inclusion across the full primary age range, including nursery.
  • Can lead a large organisation through effective systems and delegation.
  • Is committed to high achievement and strong character development.
  • Aligns with Coppice’s leadership behaviours: accountable, authentic, courageous, inclusive and future-focused.

Visit Us

We strongly encourage visits on:

  • Tuesday 24th February 13:30–15:30
  • Thursday 26th February 09:00–11:00
  • Monday 2nd March 09:30–11:30
  • Thursday 5th March 13:30–15:30
  • Friday 6th March 09:00–11:00

This is an opportunity to lead a substantial primary school with a clear mission and strong identity, supported by a Trust that values collaboration and leadership.
