We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our school catering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the preparation and serving of nutritious meals to our pupils in a friendly and welcoming environment. The position is for 16 hrs per week, term time only.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the preparation and serving of school meals
  • Setting up and clearing away the dining area before and after meal service, this does include some heavy lifting of the tables and benches
  • Cleaning duties, including washing up, maintaining hygiene standards and keeping the kitchen and dining areas tidy
  • Supporting the catering team to ensure a smooth and efficient lunchtime service

  • Is friendly, approachable and enjoys working as part of a team
  • Has good standards of cleanliness and attention to detail
  • Is reliable and able to work in a busy environment
  • Experience is helpful, but full training will be provided
