We are seeking an organised, reliable, and enthusiastic individual to join our pastoral support team as a Student Support Assistant. This is a wonderful opportunity to play an important role in the daily life of our school, providing invaluable support to students and helping to create a calm, nurturing environment.

In this role, you will oversee our student support room, offering assistance to students who require medical attention or low-level pastoral support. You will also provide light administrative support to our pastoral team, becoming a friendly and reassuring presence for students and staff alike.

Working hours:
13 hours per week, worked over two consecutive days (to be agreed upon appointment), as part of a job share with a colleague who will be working three days per week.
The working day will run from 8.30 am to 3.30 pm, including a 30‑minute lunch break, term time only (38 weeks per year).
The position is paid at KCC Kent Scheme C, with a starting salary of £7,535 (FTE £25,252–£26,262).

Simon Langton Girls’ Grammar School is a highly respected selective Voluntary Controlled Girls’ Grammar School that places students’ academic success on a par with their wellbeing, creating a unique learning community where every individual matters. Students attending the school are aged between 11-18 years and the school has a student roll of about 1,300 students (with approx. 400 pupils in our mixed Sixth Form).
