We are looking for a flexible, friendly and reliable, part-time Class Teacher (three days per week 0.6FTE) who can demonstrate an excellent understanding of the context of our school, the pupils and their individual needs.

This position is a temporary position until August 2026 which may be extended for the next academic year.  This position would suit an ECT in their first or second year.

You will need to be approachable, kind, solution based, supportive and a positive team player with excellent classroom practice and a sense of humour.  You must also be willing to contribute to the continued improvement of our wonderful school and promote our Christian Vision and School values.

Evidence of your teaching, GCSE, A Level qualifications and degree information, along with photo identification and birth certificate, will need to be shown at the first stage of the interview.

Birchington Church of England Primary School is a friendly school on the edge of Thanet and we currently have 425 pupils on role.

This is an exciting time for our school as the DfE are funding a new building on our school site. Our school has a great range of facilities, including a nurture room, library, computer suite, MUGA (Multi Use Games Area), forest area and extensive grounds.

We currently hold Healthy Schools Status, Green Travel Mark Platinum, Thanet Sport Passport, Sport England, School Games Gold, Good Diabetes Care in School Award. We have recently gained the International School Award.
