The Stour Academy Trust is looking to recruit a governance professional to join the Central Team. This is a rare opportunity to join our Trust, which has grown significantly over the past 5 years and will continue to expand.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who has previous governance professional or clerking experience, with a keen eye for detail, and who is looking for a role with progression opportunities. However, if you are not already trained, we would expect you to be willing to enrol on a governance Professional training scheme.

 

Purpose of the role is to:

  • Provide a high-quality service for The Stour Academy Trust and its partners, directly contributing to the effective functioning of all levels of Trust governance ensuring the processes and procedures of governance are administered effectively.
  • Provide advice to Directors and local governors on governance, constitutional, DfE, legal and procedural matters within the current legislative framework.
  • Produce high-quality paperwork with excellent attention to detail, particularly when proof reading papers for clarity and accuracy.

 

Details of the role:

  • Pay Range: KS8 £30,404 (pro rata approx. £4885).
  • The position is for 7 hours per week – term-time only.
  • Possibility of remote working as well as school based.
  • Your direct line manager would be the Chief Operations Officer

While the role may mean you working at various schools within the Trust.  You would be based with the Central team located within the Sturry CE Primary School near Canterbury.

 

The hours for this role are not fixed due to the nature of the post, Therefore, the post holder must be flexible in their approach and be able to attend meetings either mornings or afternoons and if necessary to include travel between sites.
