Sturry Church of England Primary School are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and hardworking Intervention Teaching Assistant to support individual and small groups of children in class. This is a temporary position until 31st March 2026. However, the post may be extended to 31st August 2026. This  would be an ideal opportunity to get a realistic insight into the work of an Intervention TA if you were thinking of beginning a career in education.

We are looking for teaching assistants who:

• Recognise that our current education system needs to radically change to better prepare our young     people for the 21st century
• Are able to take advantage of the latest technology to support modern, 21st century learning
• Want to develop their own practice to meet the needs of an evolving school system
• Want to develop children as life-long, curious learners
• Want to build strong relationships with children that facilitate their learning
• Want to teach in enabling environments that promote flexibility, collaboration and independence

This role is:

• Term time only
• 30hrs per week
• Monday to Friday - 8:45am- 3:30pm (the headteacher has discretion to adapt these times, specific times will be discussed at interview)
• Paid at pro rata'd KSA - approximately £16,880 gross (43 paid weeks to include 5 weeks holiday pay).

Please note this role is attached to funding and therefore will be a temporary contract subject to annual review on 31st March 2026. If the funding is removed or reduced the contract may change before the review date.
