As a Facilities Assistant & Lettings Supervisor at St Augustine Academy, you will play a key role in ensuring the academy site is safe, clean, secure, and welcoming for students, staff, visitors, and evening hirers. This role is worked from Friday to Tuesday, supporting the smooth running of the school by maintaining the premises to a high standard and assisting with the effective use of facilities during lettings.

Facilities Assistant responsibilities will include:

  • Opening and closing the school premises, maintaining site security, and responding to any issues that arise.
  • Reporting concerns or maintenance issues promptly to the Line Manager.
  • Meeting and supervising contractors working on the school site.
  • Assisting with receiving deliveries and distributing supplies as needed.
  • Carrying out indoor cleaning duties as directed and supporting with litter collection and bin emptying around the site.
  • Completing basic repairs and maintenance safely and reporting major defects for further action.

Lettings responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the smooth and efficient running of evening lettings, ensuring facilities remain clean, safe, and secure.
  • Welcoming hirers to the academy and providing a friendly meet-and-greet service.
  • Checking hirers out at the end of their booking to ensure timely departure and secure lock-up.
  • Putting up and removing directional signs for hirers and their groups.
  • Completing tasks such as cleaning and litter picking as required.
  • Preparing areas and setting up rooms for use, then returning equipment to its correct place.
  • Cleaning hired rooms, changing rooms, and WCs.
  • Opening and unlocking required buildings or areas for hirers.
