  • 37 hours per week, Term Time Only + 5 SDD + 5 days during school holidays (40 weeks)

We have an opportunity for an Administration Assistant to join our team at The Holmesdale School. This is a Term Time Only post plus 5 staff development days and an additional 5 days to be worked during the school holidays, particularly around exam results days.

The post encompasses a wide range of responsibilities therefore comes with an expectation of professional standards as well as administrative capacity.

The successful candidate will be driven, a team player and have excellent communication skills and be able to interact with young people and a range of external agencies. The capacity to work methodically with accuracy and attention to detail is essential, as is: 

  • English and Mathematics GCSE or equivalent with a minimum of a Grade C/4 or above.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced office;
  • Being able to cope with interruptions;
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages / Google Suite;
  • An understanding of the issues surrounding the safeguarding of children

An NVQ 2 in Business Administration/experience of using School systems such as SIMS or Brom Com would be an advantage but it is not essential.
