Location: Learning Opportunities, Ringwould, Kent 

Hours: 11:00am – 2:00pm, Monday to Thursday 
Contract: Temporary, to provide cover during staff sickness 

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cook to join our school team on a temporary basis. The role involves preparing and serving healthy, nutritious meals for our pupils, maintaining high standards of food hygiene, and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly during lunchtime service. 

Information about the school

Learning Opportunities is a small independent specialist school for students with a wide range of additional needs, including social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH), autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and moderate learning difficulties. We are registered to provide education for 36 students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP), aged 10 to 16 years of age (Key Stages 2,3,4). All students have, for a variety of reasons, found it difficult to achieve their full potential in other settings.

Our dedicated staff team, who have a range of expertise, are passionate about providing the best possible opportunities and outcomes for all of our students.

Many of our visitors comment on the positive ethos of the school – calm, focused and happy, where appropriate and positive relationships between staff and students are clearly evident.
