About the Role

Are you an inspiring and compassionate teacher who believes that every child can achieve great things in their own way?
We’re looking for a SEND Teacher to join our award-winning team at Danecourt School, a specialist provision for children with complex needs, including autism, communication differences, and sensory processing challenges.

You’ll teach small classes, supported by skilled teaching assistants and therapists, creating a calm and engaging environment where pupils can thrive. Every day, you’ll see the difference your teaching makes — from small breakthroughs to life-changing progress.

As our new SEND Teacher, you will:

  • Design creative, individualised learning experiences aligned with EHCP outcomes.

  • Work closely with therapists and our pastoral team to deliver holistic support.

  • Build trusting, positive relationships with pupils and families.

  • Champion inclusive and trauma-informed practice across the school.

  • Contribute to shaping the next phase of Danecourt’s exciting development.

Who You Are

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS and is passionate about SEND and inclusive education.

  • Is creative, flexible, and able to adapt lessons to meet individual needs.

  • Thrives in a collaborative, supportive team environment.

  • Brings patience, positivity, and resilience every day.

  • Is eager to develop and grow professionally — whether you’re new to SEND or ready for your next challenge.

What We Offer

At Danecourt, you’ll join a team that lives by our STARS values —Self-reliant , Team Player, Aspirational, Resilient, Successful.

We offer:

  • A role with real purpose — every day brings meaningful progress and joy.

  • Protected PPA time, including one day working from home every fortnight.

  • Tailored CPD and career development pathways — we’re proud to “grow our own.”

  • Innovative, bitesize training through our LearnUpon platform.

  • A child-centred environment with outdoor learning spaces, sensory areas, and therapeutic support.

  • Collaboration across our Trust schools through the Maritime Outreach Support Service.

  • Staff wellbeing initiatives, including access to the Employee Assistance Programme.

  • Proud winners of the Medway Parents and Carers Forum SEND Award and holders of the Inclusion Quality Mark’s Inclusive School Award — celebrating our commitment to exceptional inclusion and care.
