We are seeking to appoint an inspiring, highly motivated individual who will be able to coach, mentor and nurture interns in developing their work-related skills and experiences as part of our Supported Internship Programme.

You will be instrumental in furthering the magic we create in this very successful part of our Trust provision for young adults in the 16 – 24 age range with a range of Special educational needs.

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, able to engage effectively with students, colleagues, employers and parents/carers.

This role involves supporting interns with disabilities to develop the skills necessary to perform and learn their roles with accuracy, efficiency and safe working practices. You may also assist interns in acclimatising to their new working environments and in building confidence and resilience. There may be opportunities to support students with travel training, helping them develop lifelong skills.

A vital aspect of the role includes supporting employers and colleagues to feel confident in working with and supporting interns in their duties. We are looking for someone with vision and drive to promote fair access to employment and empower young people to take their first steps towards independence.

The successful candidate will receive tailored professional support and induction, including access to further professional qualifications as required.

We strongly encourage interested applicants to arrange a visit to our provision. We are confident that such a visit will demonstrate the rewarding nature of supporting Forward2Employment interns as they transition into the world of work.

Staff at Forward2Employment benefit from the Fortis Trust package, which includes a wide range of professional development opportunities and wellbeing support. Staff may also participate in salary sacrifice schemes for cycle-to-work or car maintenance. As a Mindful Employer organisation, we also encourage staff to take part in regular wellbeing days throughout the year.

The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. Any offer of employment will be subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced criminal record check via the DBS system (for children and vulnerable adults). We are an equal opportunities employer.

For an application form and further information, please see the vacancies section on our website www.forward2employment.co.uk  or contact us on 01634 683990 or office@forward2employment.co.uk

Closing Date: 17th October 2025 (12 Noon)
