We are looking to appoint a new Office administrator to join our dedicated and experienced staff team. The role is to support with the day to day running of our school and manage the various aspects of a busy school office.  

The position is to start as soon as possible:

Part time: 38 weeks a year - term time only, 8.30 - 4.00 daily, 14 or 21 hours a week.

 πŸŽ― Responsibilities:

πŸ“š Provide an efficient and professional reception service, warmly greeting visitors, staff, and pupils, ensuring signing in/out procedures are followed.

🍎 Manage incoming enquiries via phone, email, and in person, responding to queries, relaying messages, and escalating where appropriate.

🀩 Screen and manage phone calls confidently and sensitively, using initiative to resolve issues or refer as needed.

πŸ“’Manage the school’s electronic diary, arranging appointments and meetings efficiently.

🌟 Prepare registers and update records (school dinners, free school meals, milk lists), sharing information as required.

πŸ‘©‍πŸ‘§‍πŸ‘¦ Perform a variety of administrative tasks including word processing, data entry, and filing.

🎨 Assist in organising school trips and clubs, ensuring all documentation and permission slips are in place.

Information about the school

Aldington Primary School is a single form entry school located in the expanding village of Aldington. We have 200 pupils taught across 7 classes; providing a engaging, adventurous, learning journey for children between the ages of 4 and 11 years.

We have an excellent team of enthusiastic and dedicated teachers, support staff and governors. We work closely with our parents and community to provide quality education and exciting learning opportunities.

The school site is a picturesque one with many outdoor learning opportunities, including our own Forest School area. We also access many of the local areas of natural beauty to enhance our children’s learning.
