Hours: 30.5 hours per week as a TA + 2 hours as a HLTA (Mon - Friday 8:30 - 3:30)

Contract: Permanent

Time Time Only: 38 weeks per year

About The Role

Barnsole Primary School is looking for a warm, enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistant who can deliver HLTA-level support for two hours a week. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team where every adult plays a vital role in shaping confident, resilient and inspired learners.

In this role, you will:

  • Support pupils with their learning across a range of ages and needs

  • Deliver small group interventions and provide in-class support

  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to create a positive and engaging classroom experience

  • Opportunity to lead a class during HLTA time (2 hours per week) with confidence and creativity

  • Help foster a nurturing, inclusive learning environment where every child feels seen and supported

Who You Are

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds an NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in a relevant subject

  • Has experience working with children across KS1 and/or KS2

  • Is calm, adaptable, and proactive

  • Is a team player who shares our values of kindness, curiosity, and aspiration

  • Feels confident leading learning and supporting pupil progress
