Do you love working with children and want to make a difference every day? St Laurence-in-Thanet CE Junior Academy could be the place for you! We are a Junior school (Years 3–6) full of enthusiastic learners. Our welcoming, hardworking team are looking for a motivated, flexible Teaching Assistant to join us and support our pupils in their learning.

What we’re looking for:
• Commitment to high standards of learning, behaviour and safeguarding
• GCSEs in English and Maths (A–C or equivalent)
• Strong computer literacy for interventions and data input
• Ideally a relevant TA qualification (not essential)
• Confidence delivering phonics (Read Write Inc. experience helpful but training given)

The details:
• Class-based role
• Hours: 8.40–3.20, Monday–Friday, term-time only (including five INSET days)
• Fixed term until 31 August 2026

• Recent classroom experience (desirable)
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills
• High expectations and a passion for helping children succeed
• Good communication, time management and flexibility
• The ability to use initiative and technology effectively

Your role will include:
• Supporting pupils in English, Maths and across the curriculum
• Delivering phonics, early reading and computer-based interventions
• Recording progress and feeding back to teachers
• Supporting at break and lunchtimes
• Contributing to trips, displays and wider school life
