We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to help students with a range of needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and achieve their potential.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting individual students and small groups in lessons
  • Promoting inclusion and positive behaviour
  • Assisting with learning resources and classroom activities
  • Encouraging independence and confidence in students

We are looking for someone who is patient, adaptable, and passionate about helping young people succeed. Previous experience in education or working with children is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided. This role would be an ideal opportunity for a graduate wishing to gain relevant experience or for those who are considering a career in teaching and wish to gain educational experience although anyone wishing to support our students is welcome to apply.

PAY: Salary will be paid on Grade C of the AAT support staff pay scale: £25,252 - £26,262 per annum which is pro-rated to £20,728 to £21,557 per annum for term time working plus one additional week.

HOURS: 35 hours per week: Monday – Thursday 8:30am to 4:00 pm, Friday 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, 38 weeks term time plus 1 week - 4 days per week will be considered.

Introduction to Knole Academy

Knole Academy has a capacity for 1550 students aged 11-19. We are an all ability co-educational school with a grammar stream which has developed exponentially over the last few years. We foster an engaging learning ethos, using state-of-the-art technologies to develop new skills and create high aspirations. We deliver the IB Curriculum within our popular Sixth Form and offer a wide variety of extra curricular activities such as CCF (Combined Cadet Force) and Duke of Edinburgh Awards, dance and PE fixtures. Our Pastoral department is very supportive offering two in house Counsellors, well being dogs and friendly staff.

Our school is located close to good transport links with Sevenoaks and Bat and Ball stations nearby and with ample staff parking facilities.
