Join Our Supportive Team as a Teaching Assistant and Help Shape Young Lives!

Location: Danecourt School, with satellite sites at Featherby Primary (Gillingham) and Bligh Primary (Strood)
Salary: Medway D2 (Point 4–11) £16,238.72–£18,469.88 (Actual) + SEN Allowance £1,319 (Actual)
Hours: 28.75 per week (8:45 am – 3:15 pm, Mon–Fri)
Contract: Term Time Only, 39 weeks, Permanent

We are looking for caring, committed Teaching Assistants to join Danecourt School and support primary-aged pupils with complex needs, including autism and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

  • Provide care and emotional support in a safe, encouraging space

  • Help deliver creative, inclusive lessons

  • Build pupils’ confidence, resilience, and love of learning

You may work across our main school or satellite sites in Gillingham and Strood.

Who You Are
We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about supporting children with SEND

  • Flexible, proactive, and a great team player

  • Calm, compassionate, and able to adapt

  • Confident with personal care

  • Skilled in literacy/numeracy and experience or qualifications in SEND support (e.g. NVQ Level 2) are desirable.
