Role: Nursery Manager
Salary: £31,680 to £37,855 pro rata
Location: Discovery Day Nursery, Maidstone

This is a full-time, term-time only role (40 weeks per annum).

What You’ll Achieve:

As Nursery Manager you will:

  • Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for a high-performing early years and childcare setting, ensuring excellence in service delivery.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage, delivering a high-quality, inclusive curriculum tailored to all developmental stages.
  • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, maintaining a safe, compliant, and nurturing environment for all children.
  • Recruit, lead, and develop a skilled staff team through continuous professional development and regular supervision to achieve outstanding outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with families, professionals, and community partners, promoting inclusion and enhancing the nursery’s local presence and reputation.

What We Require:

  • Proven experience of leadership in a childcare/early education setting.
  • A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification with at least 2 years’ experience of working within a setting.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of the legislative and policy framework of early years and childcare.
  • Ability to establish effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Significant experience in working with families to enhance their involvement in children’s learning.

Discovery Day Nursery is a term time only Nursery. Taking children from 2 years to 5 years. We operate from two Nursery rooms.
