We are seeking a dedicated part time Class Teaching Assistant to join our team at Thurnham CE Infant School. This role is for two days per week to be worked either: Monday and Tuesday or Monday and Wednesday each week.

You will work closely with the class teachers to support children both in the classroom setting, in small groups and on a one-to-one basis. You will be expected to plan, organise, support, extend and enrich the lives of children. You will have bags of initiative and will be a reliable team player.

The successful candidate will need to have relevant experience and / or qualifications in working with infant or primary-aged children. We also require high standards of spoken and written English and mathematics.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils and addressing their specific needs, as directed by the class teacher and SENCo
  • Delivery of interventions
  • Supervision of pupils at break times and lunch times
