Fortis Trust is seeking to appoint a talented, committed and creative teacher to join the Pine Community at Bradfields Academy. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to be part of a dedicated team supporting students with complex ASD diagnoses across Key Stages 3 to 5.

The Pine Community provides specialised teaching and consistent adult support to students who are grouped by developmental stage rather than age. As such, teachers are required to be highly adaptable and skilled in delivering differentiated, personalised curricula that promote independence, communication and positive behaviour.

Candidates should be passionate about SEND education and demonstrate a strong understanding of effective teaching, assessment and progress tracking within a special school setting. Experience of working with non-verbal students and knowledge of alternative communication methods, sensory processing needs, and behaviour as communication is highly desirable.

Applicants will be expected to:

  • Plan and deliver creative and well-structured lessons across a broad curriculum.
  • Engage with student EHCP targets to deliver meaningful outcomes.
  • Lead and support a consistent team of Teaching Assistants within the classroom.
  • Build strong partnerships with families and external professionals.

We welcome applications from experienced teachers and ECTs. Successful candidates will receive personalised induction, access to CPD and opportunities to further their career.
