As a Maths Teacher at Earlscliffe, you’ll deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that spark curiosity, promote critical thinking, and build deep understanding. You'll play a vital role in shaping academic success and nurturing confident, capable learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and teach structured, inspiring lessons for mixed-ability groups
  • Use real-world examples and hands-on activities to connect theory to practice
  • Promote independent learning and stretch students to achieve their best
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop fresh, effective teaching strategies
  • Give clear, constructive feedback and track student progress
  • Uphold high standards of behavior and maintain a positive classroom culture
  • Work with the SENDCo to support students with additional needs
  • Take part in the wider life of the school—clubs, competitions, trips, and more

What We’re Looking For

  • A degree in Mathematics or a related field, plus PGCE or equivalent (QTS preferred)
  • Strong grasp of curriculum design and classroom practice
  • Genuine passion for maths and the ability to make it exciting for all learners
  • Great communication and a collaborative spirit
  • Experience with international students is a bonus
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and safeguarding (DBS check required)
