We are looking for proactive, engaging and enthusiastic candidates to join our school community as part of our wonderful staff team. Teaching assistants are a vital part of the provision that Broadwater gives to the pupils, building good relationships and supporting their learning as well as their emotional well-being.

If you are adaptable, kind and interested in making a difference to children's lives, then this role is for you. Working alongside the class teacher, you will support all pupils to achieve the very best that they can. You may be working with the whole class, with a small group or even with one or two individuals, but it is always rewarding.

All of our staff are prepared to work with SEN pupils, adapting and evaluating our approaches "in the moment" and learning from some of the considerable expertise within the existing team. Our school community are welcoming and supportive and we look forward to meeting new potential colleagues.

Please contact the school if you have any questions about the role.

Information about the school

We are a small local primary school who believe in community, diversity and excellence. We are an integral part of the community around us and enjoy the close relationships we have with pupils and their families.

In school, kindness and emotional well-being are at the core of everything we do for the children in our care. The team support each other to enrich pupils' lives with interesting learning experiences tailored to meet children's needs and contexts.

In October 2024, the school was given a Nurturing Schools Award by Nurture UK, in recognition of the work that we do to support children's mental well-being and emotional literacy.

Working at Broadwater you will find colleagues who are positive, supportive and eager to collaborate, striving to achieve the very best for the children in our care. You will find pupils who are curious, friendly and vibrant who have a wide range of cultural backgrounds and experiences which come together to form a magical school community.

We are situated near the Pantiles end of Tunbridge Wells and we are lucky to have a large site with lots of outdoor space such as a field, big playground, class outdoor areas and a courtyard. Currently, we have six classes from Reception to Year 6 with around 130 pupils on roll.

A March 2023 OFSTED inspection graded the school as good in all areas.
