EYFS/KS1 Class Teacher

Temporary position for 1 year

We are looking for a maternity cover teacher to join our vibrant and energetic team.  We expect this position to be for the year and want you to feel like a full member of our Herne team.

We aim to recruit a wonderful teacher to lead our children over the next year.  If you have an interest in leading a subject please let us know.  We have not specified a year group as we will take into account the experience and preferences of the successful candidate.

We are looking to recruit a teacher who is:

  • An enthusiastic classroom practitioner committed to a child centred approach to teaching
  • Inspirational with an imaginative approach to all aspects of teaching and learning
  • Dedicated to excellence, inclusion and raising standards and has high expectations
  • Highly effective at planning, delivering and evaluating lessons
  • Organised with good interpersonal skills
  • Able to foster and maintain positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parent/carers
  • Adept at teaching an exciting and relevant curriculum
  • Engage in professional dialogue, monitoring and mentoring with a variety of colleagues
  • Participate in CPD 

We believe in collaborative working and we are a member of the Coastal Alliance Cooperative Trust, working together with 13 local schools to share expertise and continue professional development. We are committed to the development of all of our staff and encourage our teachers to be reflective practitioners dedicated to improving their own learning.
