An opportunity has arisen to join our successful, happy and forward-thinking school as a member of our ICT Technician Team.

We are looking to appoint an ICT Technician to support the use of ICT within the school environment through maintenance of ICT software, hardware and related equipment. Support will also be provided by the ICT Technician to staff and pupils to ensure administration and learning outcomes are maximised.

The successful candidate will have experience in an ICT environment, ideally in a school setting, as well as being a highly committed, enthusiastic and organised individual. 

For those candidates with more experience, the position could be a Lead ICT Technician role. More details can be found by looking at the Job Description and Person Specifications. 

Appropriate training will be available for the right candidate.

Information about the school

Dover Grammar School for Boys is a selective school with approximately 900 students on roll, of whom about 180 are in the Sixth Form. Girls are also admitted to the Sixth Form.

Our recent Ofsted Inspection (January 2025) report states that 'pupils thrive at this ambitious, inclusive school. The school motto ‘Fiat Lux’ (Let There Be Light) informs all that the school does.' We moved into new accommodation in July 2022 and our new building provides us with modern, bright, spacious teaching rooms, and has increased opportunities for students both inside and outside of the taught curriculum.

However, our success both in school – we recorded fantastic Progress 8 score in both 2023 and 2024 greater than +0.50 - and within the local community means that we are already looking to expand our site and develop opportunities further.
