Are you a passionate, dedicated teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with complex needs? At Danecourt School, we’re looking for an enthusiastic SEND Teacher to join our incredible team and help shape meaningful learning experiences in a specialist setting.

About the Role

As a SEND teacher, you’ll lead a small class of pupils with a range of needs including autism, communication difficulties, and sensory processing differences. You’ll work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to deliver creative, tailored learning that meets each child’s individual needs.

You’ll also build strong relationships with families and carers, supporting them with strategies to help their children thrive beyond the classroom — and celebrate every small milestone that leads to life-changing progress.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who is:

  • Qualified (QTS) and ideally experienced in a specialist or SEN setting

  • Creative and adaptable, with a solution-focused mindset

  • Collaborative, working well with colleagues and families

  • Patient, empathetic, and genuinely passionate about making a difference

Why Danecourt?

Teaching at Danecourt isn’t just a job — it’s a role with real purpose. You’ll join a warm, inclusive school community where every child’s achievements are celebrated and every member of staff is supported.

We offer:

  • A supportive, collaborative team culture

  • SEND-specific CPD and career development opportunities

  • Small class sizes and time to deliver personalised learning

  • Excellent staff benefits including a generous pension, employee wellbeing support, and access to early pay via Wagestream

  • The opportunity to be part of the forward-thinking Maritime Academy Trust
