Danecourt Is Hiring: A Social Work Role That’s As Unique As the Children You’ll Support

Are you a passionate Social Worker ready to make a meaningful difference? At Danecourt School, we offer a unique opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to support children with special educational needs (SEN) in a nurturing, inclusive, and forward-thinking environment.

Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks a year (term-time may be considered for the right candidate)

As a School-Based Social Worker, ou’ll

  • Support pupils with emotional well-being and resilience strategies

  • Work collaboratively with school staff to deliver personalised interventions

  • Partner with families to provide advice and advocacy

  • Liaise with external professionals to coordinate holistic support

What We’re Looking For

a Social Worker who is:

  • Qualified and registered with Social Work England

  • Experienced in working with children, especially those with SEN

  • Skilled at building strong relationships with families and partners

  • Empathetic, proactive, and driven to create positive change

Danecourt Special School is part of the Maritime Multi-Academy Trust, an innovative partnership of schools in Greenwich, Bexley, Kent and Medway . Our schools transform through collaboration and an entrepreneurial curriculum which equips children with life skills. We are a special school catering for primary aged children who have special educational needs. The children who attend Danecourt have a wide breadth of needs including complex learning difficulties and autism.

This is facilitated through pupils receiving a personalised curriculum that is tailored to meet their individual specific needs.
