Laleham Gap School is seeking a dedicated individual to join our exceptional teaching staff as a post graduate teaching apprentice. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate who has a strong desire to develop their teaching skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.  Our school is committed to providing outstanding education and support to students with specific learning difficulties, autism spectrum conditions, and other communication needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To work alongside teachers to plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of our students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to create and implement effective Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, independence, and a love of learning.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Education or a related field.
  • Enrolment in a recognised postgraduate teaching apprenticeship course
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for inclusive education.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Information about the school

Laleham Gap is a Communication and Interaction Special School. We have pupils aged from 4 to 18 years of age. Most of our pupils have a diagnosis of Autism. All pupils have an EHCP. Most pupils will achieve some GCSEs or equivalent at age 16. Laleham Gap is a new, high quality and well-resourced environment and the opportunity to work with an established, experienced and highly motivated team.
