We are looking to appoint a caring, confident and skilled practitioner who is passionate about working with children, and helping them to fulfil their potential. We are looking for someone who is friendly and approachable, able to work on their own initiative and to manage their time effectively and who is driven to provide opportunities and enjoyment for children allowing us all to achieve together.

You will be joining an incredible group of people who love what they do and have great fun doing it! We believe in our staff and aim to support them to and give them opportunities to progress in their career. 

The successful candidate will have a varied role, supporting children in class as well as working with small groups or individuals as needed, providing additional support under the direction of the class teacher and SENCo.

Hours – 33.5 hours per week (8:30-3:30 and one night until 4:30pm to run an after school club) 38 weeks per year.

This is a fixed term contract until 31/08/2025

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to provide care to all children whilst creating a trusting and friendly atmosphere 
  • Oversee and maintain a clean, tidy and safe environment
  • Plan, observe and keep records of the child's development to inform parents
  • Ability to identify and follow best practice within KS1/KS2 setting to ensure it is maintained and safe for all children
  • Attend staff meetings if required

Information about the school
