We are a large primary school with 630 pupils and over 100 staff. The school is warm, friendly and welcoming and the staff team works closely together to support all of our pupils.

We currently have a new opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic Apprentice Premises Assistant to work with us whilst undertaking studies alongside. The role is full time, all year round with 28 days holiday.

The apprentice will work closely with our Site and Health & Safety Manager, to ensure that the school building and grounds are kept in a safe and secure condition, responsibilities may include:

  • Providing customer service to internal and external customers to ensure the effective delivery of a range of facilities services
  • Supporting the delivery of facilities projects
  • Locking and unlocking of buildings at pre-determined times
  • Undertaking general portage duties, including moving furniture and equipment within school
  • Addressing facilities related risks, hazards and threats to people, property and premises

The school will provide a friendly environment for the Apprentice to learn and gain their Level 2 Certificate in Facilities Services Principles. The apprenticeship will be for 18 months. 

Candidates should be in sympathy with the ethos of a church school.
