Administration Officer - Term Time - Full time

Job Description

Ripplevale School is looking for a professional and friendly Administrator / Data Officer to work under the direction of the HR Manager, Bursar and Senior Leadership Team.

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, hardworking and have recent administration experience.  They will be responsible for supporting all areas of administration and data entry associated with the school. When covering the Receptionist, they will be providing a professional welcome to all students, parents, carers, staff and visitors.  Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential as this role involves being one of the first points of call for all visiting or contacting the school. The successful candidate will work to a high standard, have excellent teamwork skills and can prioritise and adapt their workload.

  • This post is based at our site in Ripple near Deal and is term time, plus 10 days in the holidays (spread out over the academic year, as directed by the Line Manager).
  • Hours of work 37.5 hours a week
  • Ideally, we are looking for an 8am to 4pm working day pattern, however, we can be flexible on the start/finish times for the right candidate.
  • Staff have the option to work an additional 70 inset hours, some of which includes 2 hours on a Tuesday early evening twilight session.

Information about the school

Ripplevale School is an independent day SEN school for pupils aged from 6 to 18 years old who have an EHCP (Education Health Care Plan) with a diagnosis of ASD, often with associated conditions.

Ripplevale School is situated over two sites. Ripplevale Lower School is situated in Broadstairs, teaching a Primary provision and Ripplevale Upper School is based in the village of Ripple near Deal, for our Secondary and Post 16 provision.

We have a committed and dedicated team which includes teachers, teaching assistants, higher level teaching assistants, a range of therapists, administrative staff and support staff. All play a significant role in the education and development of each pupil and work to create a warm, informal, friendly atmosphere in which the pupils feel secure, safe and confident.
