We are seeking to appoint a Lead Cleaner.

Purpose of the Job:

  • To line manage a team of cleaners to ensure they are carrying out their duties as directed.
  • To hold keys for the school to lock and unlock the school premises at the start and end of each day.
  • To undertake cleaning duties to maintain a high standard of cleanliness within the school, as directed.

 

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Undertake cleaning of allocated areas in line with specified standards
  • and as directed.
  • Operate / use domestic and industrial cleaning equipment and materials, following appropriate training.
  • Store allocated equipment and materials safely and securely.
  • Perform duties in line with health and safety regulations (COSHH) and take action where hazards are identified / report serious hazards to line manager immediately.
  • Collect and dispose of waste.
  • Refill and replace soap, towels and other materials.

 

Individuals in this role may also undertake some or all of the following:

  • Undertake specialised cleaning programmes during school closures or other designated periods.

 

The duties / responsibilities of this post may vary from time to time according to the changing needs of the Trust services.

Beaver Green is a two form entry school in Ashford with a maintained nursery.

The school is sited in a new build with a number of outreach rooms alongside extensive playing fields and play areas.

The school works in partnership with other primaries within the Swale Academies Trust to ensure best practices are in place.
