As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the EYFS team to deliver high-quality education and care to children within the EYFS setting at Richmond school. Underpinning the children’s early development we encourage their ability to communicate through high quality interactions.

We are seeking a dedicated individual with a minimum Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years Education.  Candidates currently enrolled in a relevant training course will also be considered. All qualifications will be verified against the DFE approved EYFS Practitioner list.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the EYFS team to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment in the inside and outside classroom for young learners
  • Support the planning and delivery of engaging activities to promote children’s individual development
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure the well-being and progress of each child
  • Uphold the safeguarding and welfare of all children in line with school policies and procedures

 

We are looking for Teaching Assistants who:

  • Recognise that our current education system needs to radically change to better prepare our young people for the 21st century
  • Are able to take advantage of the latest technology to support modern, 21st century learning
  • Want to develop their own practice to meet the needs of an evolving school system
  • Want to develop children as life-long, curious learners
  • Want to build strong relationships with children that facilitate their learning
  • Want to teach in enabling environments that promote flexibility, collaboration and independence
  •  

This role is:

  • Part-time term-time
  • Monday to Friday
  • 33.75 hrs per week (30 hours are offered on a permanent contract, the extra 3.75 hours are attached to the Early Years setting and will be reduced should you move to another year group)
  • Salary is KR3 (33.75hrs @ 43 paid weeks) will be approximately £17,022 pro rata
