Deputy Headteacher - Responsible for Quality of Education, Standards and Staff Development

Location: Danecourt School, Hotel Road, Watling Street, Gillingham, Kent ME8 6AA

We are looking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic, aspirational and dynamic Deputy Headteacher to join the forward thinking and ambitious team at Danecourt School. 

We are seeking an outstanding leader who has an appetite for innovation, exceptional communication skills and who can inspire all stakeholders. With a passion for working with children with SEN and their families, you will embrace coaching approaches, be creative and flexible and, as with all staff, be non-judgmental, unconditionally accepting and highly resilient. As Deputy you will lead on teaching and learning and deputise for the Headteacher in her absence.

The position will commence 29th August 2024 and offers a unique opportunity to play a senior role in leading and developing the new satellite provisions based at two mainstream schools within the Maritime Trust.

Danecourt Special School is part of the Maritime Multi-Academy Trust, an innovative partnership of schools in Greenwich, Bexley, Kent and Medway . Our schools transform through collaboration and an entrepreneurial curriculum which equips children with life skills. We are a special school catering for primary aged children who have special educational needs. The children who attend Danecourt have a wide breadth of needs including complex learning difficulties and autism.
